Q: How did you get involved with The HELP Program?

We read about the Help Program in a home magazine. We really wanted to get into a house. We were renting and our credit was less than perfect so it was hard to get a loan – we tried a couple of times but they fell through. We were resigned to the fact that we would always have to rent. After we saw the ad about the Help Program, we decided to call. It really sounded too good to be true. We were apprehensive and kept thinking ‘what’s the catch’?

We had an interview with Todd, the program manager and the ball started rolling, we were very excited. He was very positive and said it would probably be close to a year to get our credit repaired.

We found a house we liked and moved into it. We paid rent until our credit was good to go. That process went much faster than expected. We got the financing on our own. We are very happy to have our own home.

Q: How effective do you feel The HELP Program has been thus far?

The program is great! We have told many people about it. We explain how smooth the process is and how exciting it is to have a home and not be paying rent anymore.

We never thought we would ever get to be homeowners – it is great to know there are people willing to help others to have the experience.

Q: If you had a friend thinking about going through HELP, what would you tell him or her?

Everyone we worked with was professional, concerned, helpful, open, honest and very accommodating.

If you have credit that needs help and have the desire to own a home, take advantage of this wonderful program. They will fix your credit and get you into a home for you to enjoy.
